My Opinion: If you are looking for family car take a look at Citroen C4 Picasso with diesel engine 1.6Hdi. Average fuel consumption in this case is 5l/100km. A lot of space for 5 passengers and huge 500 liters boot. Using one full fuel tank is possible to drive more than 1100 km. Overall length is only 4.47m, less then most of common sedans.

My Opinion: I have since 2004 Renault diesel cars. A Renault Symbol (like Cleo, but with a 500 liter boot), with a 1500cc 85HP engine and a Renault Megan with the same engine.. They are very reliable, fuel consumption BETTER than 5 liters/100Km (real average: 4.2l/100Km for the Symbol and 4.8/100Km for the megan), BUT with manual gear. The new Renault Fluence is with the same 1500 engine, delivering 110 HP and DUAL clutch Robotic gear. Also the more expensive VW Jetta or Passat with the new 1600 Diesel clean engine will do.

My Opinion: i think that FLex ford is the best for family. Better than any 4* 4 ( that i have actually ) and better than any Van. Flex is very spacious and class :)
